As an outcome for my project, I decided to create an organisation in the name of DoNation.
DoNation is about sharing an activity or teachable talent with other like minded women, donating to charity and making a positive change to both the charity and yourself.
DoNation unites women through common interests, talents and activities whilst raising money for numerous charities, creating communities and having a positive impact on your all aspects of your life resulting in self confidence.
It is aimed at women who want to make things happen and who want to connect rather than coast. It allows individuals the chance to make the most of themselves, their skills and their ambitions all whilst giving back to charities.
The platform allows you to create a profile describing where you’re based, your hobbies, your fitness and creativity levels as well as a little bit about you. Your profile is then matched with similar and like minded women from around the same area creating a ‘sisterhood’. Within your sisterhood individuals then post events on your group wall which they are hosting along with their chosen charity. Here you can book the event, and pay your donation which goes straight to the designated charity. You can see how much you’ve raised together as well as as individually on your profile. With no limits you can then do as much or as little as you wish, getting exactly what you want out of it. With an easy to use website and app, Donation is accessible by all and has the power to empower unlimited divas simply by bringing people together.
