In today's seminar workshop activity we were tasked with creating a scent story and moodboard for a fragrance inspired by an animal for the brand Zoologist.
I chose a Flamingo...
Having created this brainstorm I then began to look into some imagery that could represent this...
Having then analysed this collection I decided to spit the moodboard and concept into 2 separate fragrances, one for the flamingo in flight and one static...
A light, graceful dane of scent wafting high in the fresh open air. The free spirited wave of her extended wings enhancing the beauty of the cherry blossom below. Notes of playful petals soaring over the stillness. Sweet, delicate elegance as the flamingo glides through the serenity of the open water spring. As the princess of the land ends her flight to find calm, notes of lavendar engulfs it's pale feathers.
A statue of sophistocation and beauty, the flamingo's soft, unstirring beak drinks delicately from the tranquil spring that she stands static within. A silent and mellow dignity as her flaming coat shimmers in the lapping waves. Composed and confident as her onlookers observe, she basks in the beating rays, fixed to the spot, at peace with her presence in the natural calm of her resting place.
I really enjoyed creating these 2 complimentory but contrasting scent stories. The process of creating the visuals and then transforming them into writen prose was a challenge but I happy with the overall outcomes.
